Running in the Primary for Whatcom County Council 1st District Seat is Kaylee Galloway

Kaylee Galloway Candidate for Whatcom County Council 1st District

My name is Kaylee Galloway, and I’m running for Whatcom County Council District 1. I’m running for office because I want to see government work for all people, focusing on the solutions needed for today and for generations to come. I’m committed to empowering those around me and creating a collaborative and inclusive environment to make community-driven policy.

It’s been an honor to serve the people of Whatcom County over the last decade. As a dedicated public servant who has worked at the local, state, and federal levels of government, I’m ready to start on day one. I’m eager to bring fresh perspectives and ideas to the council as the challenges our communities face require new and creative solutions. During this pandemic, our local businesses have suffered. We must work towards economic recovery and build back more resilient. This includes supporting our local economy, workforce development, housing, public safety, healthcare, childcare, infrastructure, environment, and natural resources.

My multidisciplinary approach and perspective help bring people together to find common ground and solve complex problems. I’m proud of my years in government service working for effective policy makers who have mentored me. I’ve listened and learned what it takes to be an effective leader, policy maker, and advocate. I look forward to continuing my service in this new capacity.
