Greetings, I am Nicholas E. Sawka, a proud resident of Lynden for the past two years. When my family and I made the decision to move here, we were drawn to Lynden’s small-town charm. It has always been my dream to raise my children in a community reminiscent of the one I grew up in. Originating from a rural town in Pennsylvania, I left behind my roots 21 years ago to embark on a fulfilling career with the U.S. Coast Guard, where I faithfully served for two decades before retiring. Now, I am immensely grateful to call Lynden my home.

During these past two years, I have actively volunteered as a coach for both of my daughters’ basketball and soccer teams. I firmly believe in instilling in children the values of effective communication and teamwork from a young age. Additionally, I organized a before-school program called All-Pro Parents (All-Pro Dads) at Fisher Elementary, providing parents with an opportunity to spend quality time with their children at school once a month.

Now, I humbly seek your vote for the Lynden School Board Director Position 2. I am enthusiastic about serving our community and representing your interests. In the coming years, it is crucial to elect a candidate like myself who possesses unwavering moral principles and the ability to think critically. From navigating curriculum changes to spearheading the development of facilities for our students, strong leadership is essential. I hope that you will grant me the opportunity to serve my community.
