Dr Raul Garcia

In an event no one in politics can remember being done in Washington State Dr. Raul Garcia is taking 6 campaigning day to Walk from the Yakima area to Seattle.  His 20 + miles a day walk is to highlight the plight of those who have died from overdoses of Fentanyl and those addicted to Fentanyl and other drugs  The Garcia campaign says.

The details of the walk are below. Link to page Here

We are walking from Central Washington to Seattle to bring focus to the fentanyl crisis, to honor those who have died senselessly from this killer drug, and to let the people of Washington know we have the power to overcome this crisis.

Throughout the walk we’ll be joined by former addicts, people who’ve lost loved ones to fentanyl, advocates and public officials.

Our walk starts early morning on Tuesday, July 16 at Big Pines Recreation Site between Yakima & Ellensburg, and ends at 2PM on Sunday, July 21 at East Portal Viewpoint Park in Seattle.

PRELIMINARY ONE-DAY WALK JULY 10, TOPPENISH TO YAKIMA

We did a preliminary walk in Yakima County on July 10 from Toppenish to Yakima. We trekked 20-plus miles in temperatures well above 100 degrees! The Yakima County Sheriff, Dr Garcia’s colleagues from Astria Toppenish Hospital and others joined us. There are people all across Washington who want to fight fentanyl the right way. Together, we can do it!
