Subject: Koster Op Ed on the Hirst Case
Hi Keith,
I saw a couple of days ago an op ed in the Seattle times by John Koster where he claimed if Hirst is not fixed it will cost the taxpayers of Whatcom County $271 million. I don’t remember the Council ever being given any information about such a tax shift, but he says it comes from the County Assessor. Can you please provide where that number came from and the math that was used to produce it? I would like that information before the Council discusses our proposed resolution regarding the Hirst Case on Tuesday morning.
The Op Ed can be found at: http://www.seattletimes.com/opinion/fix-court-decision-property-without-water-is-worthless/
Thanks
Carl
