A Wonderful Future Lies Ahead

Just before the Thanksgiving Holiday, President Trump published a message of hope on his Telegram channel. He said, “A very interesting time in our country, but do not worry, we will be great again—and we will all do it together. America will never fail, and we will never allow it to go in the wrong direction. Too many generations of greatness are counting on us. Enjoy your Thanksgiving knowing that a wonderful future lies ahead!” (t.me/real_DonaldJTrump/14255)

I love this unifying message of hope. A wonderful future lies ahead. We live in the greatest country in the world, at a pivotal moment in history, facing a tremendous challenge and a wonderful opportunity. I am so excited about the future, I can barely sleep. There’s so much to do to solve our mutual challenges and co-create our wonderful future.

The American people are energized like never before in my life time.  We are coming to realize that our core principles as a country and a civilization are being challenged by outside influences. We are beginning to work together to restore the rule of law and the concept of inalienable rights granted by God.  We are reclaiming the concept of judging people by their actions and character, instead of by superficial external characteristics. As a people, we are rejecting racial supremacy of all kinds, and rediscovering the concept of “one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Our challenges are great. Those seeking to destroy our country are legion. We have been slow to see the danger we are in.  For decades, we have been hypnotized, misled, and gaslit by masters of psychological propaganda and deception.  Now, as we awaken, we look around and sometimes feel overwhelmed by our many difficulties.

We see massive overspending and runaway inflation, government officials who refuse to enforce laws and obey the courts, weaponized government agencies, and a medical crisis being used to destroy our constitution. We see lawlessness, theft and rioting encouraged, while actual peaceful protesters are unjustly prosecuted and even murdered to send a political message.

The Great Information War

This war, the Great Information War, is being fought across multiple fronts, on multiple platforms, across multiple channels. The pillars of civil society are under attack. Here in Washington state, those pillars are parents’ rights, medical freedom, public safety and law enforcement, a fair and equitable tax system, and three coequal branches of government as defined in our Washington State Constitution.

Will public be kept away from legislature at the 2022 session?

These pillars are in danger of being torn down by movements to defund and restrict law enforcement, laws that disempower local school boards, mandates from unelected health officials, a tax system weaponized against the working class, unconstitutional taxes and one-man rule via emergency powers.

But, as President Trump said, “America will never fail, and we will never allow it to go in the wrong direction.” And the wonderful part of all this is we are all in this together, each doing our part to unify our communities, protect our freedoms, restore due process, support the rule of law and rebuild local business and industry.  We each have an exciting role to play in the coming days—we are David;  we are Moses; we are Jonah.  Each of these Biblical figures enlighten our path, and provide clues to our next right action.

Like David, we face a massive enemy. We are not armed with stones, but with information, knowledge, facts, and proper lawful civic participation. Like Moses, we have made mistakes in the past, but are nonetheless called to lead our people out of certain bondage. Like Jonah, we are given a task we approach reluctantly, fearfully, and even with resentment – but we do the work anyway.

Our work is blessed – the unification and healing of our families, communities, and state through peaceful and persistent actions. We will learn how to encourage the fearful and how to empower the disempowered. We will grow and become leaders in our local communities. We will develop new skills to effectively participate in government as team members with our state and local elected officials.

Local Action = National Impact

Remember, local action has national impact. Attend your school board meetings, and ask your board members to work to stop mask mandates. Volunteer to help the board review curriculum or library book choices. Attend or participate on other small local boards; they all depend upon the your attention and participation.

Plan now to run for a local office. Consider your skills and abilities, and do your research to see what local offices will be up for election in 2022. Filing week is in mid-May, and we need you to run for office! Ask your pastor to fully reopen your church and encourage the congregation to vote its faith and participate in civic life!  Don’t submit to medical tyranny: Your health is your choice.  Finally, pray often for a spirit of healing and renewed unity for our community, state, and country.

It’s time to stop complaining and get involved in our wonderful system of self-government as the founders envisioned it. It’s an exciting opportunity to accept personal empowerment and take peaceful, lawful action. As Benjamin Franklin told Mrs. Powell, the wife of the mayor of Philadelphia, “…it’s a republic, if you can keep it.”  Together, we will keep the republic, one small action of civic participation at a time.  A wonderful future lies ahead.
