She has been involved in the Blaine School District since childhood first as a student (attended K-12), later as a parent, and professionally via meeting Mental Health needs in our community. Erika understands the heartbreak parents went through when the schools closed abruptly due to COVID-19 lockdowns, and the stressful impact it has had on youth, parents, and educators. She cares deeply about the future of the Blaine School District, strives to make it be a transparent system, and believes it will take the whole community to give our children a solid foundation, where their gifts can be nurtured.

We need folks that we can trust to inform us not folks that take money to keep their paper or what you call this floating–
