KAMAL BHACHU FILES FOR THE POSITION OF COUNTY COUNCIL AT LARGE

a deep desire to serve the people of Whatcom County. Since immigrating from Punjab, India as a teenager in 1996, Kamal has made Whatcom county his home. Kamal and his wife, Tami, have settled in the Blaine area with their multi-generational household including adult children, mother, aunt and their four-legged friends. Kamal holds a career at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center as a senior maintenance engineer. He attended Bellingham Technical College earning degrees in both Automotive Technology and Construction Technology. Kamal spent time working with Whatcom County Hospice as a nursing assistant. His diversity in education, and career experiences offer him a unique view of Whatcom County.

He feels that a primary component to a healthy and thriving community is offering a wide variety of employment opportunities. Kamal believes that the people of Whatcom County, all the people, will be best served by electing officials who truly represent them and are not simply career politicians. He strongly believes that as an elected official, you work for the people, and not special interests. He wants to see all the people of Whatcom County feel proud of their community, where they live, work, and raise their families. When there is a sense of pride in a community, there is strength. We share a beautiful corner of the world and need to work together, to make it the best place it can be. We won’t all share the same ideas, but we can come together with mutual respect for the sake of our community and all within it.
